Earth Day at Wordsworth Grasmere
The theme for Earth Day this year is ‘Our Power, Our Planet’. William Wordsworth described poetry as ‘spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings’ – so how can we use the power of poetry to advocate for nature and the environment?
At Wordsworth Grasmere we are celebrating Earth Day with a free creative writing workshop and poetry reading. Hear Wordsworth’s nature poetry in the very place that it was written, listen to powerful work from new and established contemporary poets, and even have a go at penning your own.
These events are free and include access to the Woodland/Sensory Garden for the duration of each event. They do not include entry to Dove Cottage and the Museum. For more information and to plan your visit: https://wordsworth.org.uk/visit/
