HMVCG, in collaboration with the Mersey River Trust, invites you to experience the enchanting Dawn Chorus — a breathtaking symphony of birdsong performed at sunrise as birds mark their territory and search for mates. Early May is the peak season, making this the perfect time to witness nature at its most vibrant.
✨ Why join us?
Between 4:30am and 6:00am, the still morning air allows birdsong to travel up to 20 times further — creating a rich, immersive soundscape you won’t hear at any other time of day.
👣 Meeting Point: Vale Close, by the Heaton Mersey Park gates
🧥 What to bring: Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes suitable for uneven terrain
