Join us for a fantastic walk in the Coppermines Valley. The tour is lead by Phil Johnston, business owner, resident and knowledgeable guide of Coniston Coppermines valley.All profits from this event will go to the Cumbria Tourism Charitable Fund. The fund helps people kick start they tourism career in the county. It does this by providing grants to help their career grow.
What to expect:
- Please arrive at the Ruskin Museum at 10.30am for a 10.45am Start. The walk should finish around 2pm
- You might encounter climbs up some steeper sections. The surfaces may be rough and uneven, with rocky or muddy sections, and you may
also find yourself walking up irregular steps, over stiles or through narrow gates and gaps.
- The route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users
- Midway refreshments and a light snack are provided
- You may wish to visit the Ruskin Museum after the walk, a £1 discount off the full price ticket is provided as part of the walk
What to bring:
- Please bring weather appropriate clothing and footwear. The weather can change quickly so please bear this in mind.
- Any medication you may require
- Sun cream and a hat
- Please remember to bring some refreshments for the walk itself.
Important information
- By signing up for this event you are confirming you are able to walk for the time required to complete the walk unaided
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- Dogs are more than welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners must clean up after their dogs.
Ticket Pricing
- Adult tickets (over the age of 15) £20 (Inc.VAT)
- Child tickets (under the age of 15) £10 (Inc.VAT)
Cancellations
- Please be aware that tickets are non refundable once booked.
- In the event the walk cannot go ahead, for example in extremely bad weather, a refund will be given.
