Shall We Gather...? Hithertones at the Brunel Museum
About
"Immersive" ... "hopeful" ... "sublime" ... with heartening reviews from audience & singers following our sold-out concert last year, Hithertones return this year to present another stunning evening of choral music in the sublime underground acoustics of the Brunel Museum.Hithertones will present the eclectic range of genres that we have come to be known for such as a cappella, folk, jazz, popular and classical.
Highlights to include a beautiful contemporary arrangement of Shall we Gather at the River, a medley of folk songs from the British Isles accompanied by chamber instruments, Ola Gjeilo's The Lake Isle accompanied by strings, piano and guitar, and a beautiful choral setting of Sigur Rós’ Fljótavík with strings.
The museum bar will be serving wine and beer in Brunel’s roof garden immediately above the tunnel shaft from 7:00pm.
