In the fine tradition of Soundhouse Choir shows, producing unique collaborations in special places, the Soundhouse Choir sails towards the first fantastic destination for its TENTH BIRTHDAY!

Recording resources for support are supplied. No need to read music or have any previous experience. All you need is yourself and a bit of give-it-a-go.

This very special term, Soundhouse Choir will put together a selection of epic songs of seafaring and love, to launch proceedings and then hop aboard with the one and only, Loveboat Big Band.

An institution of Edinburgh Fringe and beyond, The Loveboat Big Band still sails the high seas, after nearly 30yrs! Featuring The Bevvy Sisters, Admiral T, Deep Sea Diver Demus, The Ivitsky Brothers and all The Stonking Salty Dogs on horns!

Following annual sell-out appearances at The Famous Speigeltent and Queens Hall, The Loveboat Big Band did a 5-star run at Summerhall for Fringe 2014, and celebrated their 20th Anniversary at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival in 2017.
The band now loves to sail out of dry-dock for special occasions and last checked in at Kelburn Garden Party 2025.

DJ Dolphin Boy will transport us with sounds of the sea and fire up the after dance on deck. After all of that there will still be ample time on a Midsummer night for a good old-fashioned after-party, in the surrounds of Summerhall, to celebrate the choir’s incredible community and life in general! Some much-required, light-hearted fayre.

All proceeds will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
