Femme Fatale - Crimewriting Workshop
About
If you've ever had an inkling to write a crime fiction story, or you have a story in your head but don't know where to start, this workshop could be just the thing for you.Sharon Bairden and Noelle Holten are veteran Crime Fiction Bloggers, reading a staggering number of crime books between them, and blogging about them, attending book festivals and getting on first name terms with the kings and queens of crime fiction such as Ian Rankin, Val McDermid and Chris Brookmyre.
They have now turned to writing their own crime fiction, with 9 books between them so far, and more on the way.
They both attended the well-respected 'Crime and Publishment' crime fiction writing workshops regularly, but now the tables are turning again and, for the first time, Sharon and Noelle are going to deliver an introductory workshop in crimewriting.
This interactive event will guide potential crime writers through taking and original idea and developing the plot and characters, to editing and submitting your manuscript to and agent or publisher.
It won't give you a comprehensive guide to the whole writing, editing and publishing process, but it will point you in the right direction, and show you where to start.
And it will be fun. Sharon and Noelle have a dark sense of humour, and they're passionate about crime fiction, so don't miss this workshop if you are a debut crime writer, or a writer who has a manuscript but doesn't know quite how to develop it. or you are just curious about crimewriting.
