Follow the frontier on a moderate 10-mile/16-km route, culminating in a visit to the well-preserved Housesteads Fort. Perfect for those who love walking at a gentle pace, history, and unforgettable landscapes.Itinerary
• 9:00 AM – Meet & Depart (Penrith Bus Station)
Meet your guide and group before setting off towards Greenhead on our Fellrunner minibus.
• 10:00 AM – Arrival & Introduction
Overview of the history and the day’s route.
• 10:30 AM – Walk Along Hadrian’s Wall
Follow one of the most scenic sections, with rolling hills and dramatic views.
• 1 PM – Lunch Break
• 1:30PM – Continue Walk. Short additional walk along the Wall.
• 3:30 PM – Housesteads Fort - Coffee/Tea Stop
If time allows, we will visit this remarkably preserved Roman fort. Tea and cake and a chance to unwind before heading back.
• 4:00 PM – Depart for Penrith
• 5:00 PM – Arrival in Penrith (approximate, depending on traffic)
