Public Relations (PR) – it’s all about how you communicate with the wider world, get people interested in what you’re doing – and get them to pay for it…This training will cover:
PR basics (listings, press releases, contacts, media landscape at the moment)
Social media - best practice (including caution about AI!)
Marketing yourself or your organisation - how to get new clients
An interactive session with a chance for you to pose your questions.
Trainer: DICKIE FELTON has worked in communications for 25 years including as comms manager at National Museums Liverpool; Keep Britain Tidy (spokesperson on glamourous things like flytipping and dog dirt!); the National Football Museum. Largely freelance for the last ten years, with clients ranging from museums to live music to the National Rural Touring Forum.Before going into PR Dickie was a journalist on the Liverpool Echo and still likes to write when he has the time.
The session will take place on Zoom and will include a short break.
