RICHMOND SHAKESPEARE SOCIETY PRESENTS
NEW DIRECTORS SHOW WEEKEND: DEATHWATCH
by Jean Genet, translated by David Rudkin
Directed by Ash O'Keeffe
Three young convicts share a cell. Locked into a world of dangerous rivalries, criminals Lefranc and Maurice compete for the attention of the charismatic condemned man, Green-Eyes. Deathwatch is an exploration of jealousy, sycophancy and an absent moral compass.
Deathwatch features as part of our New Directors Show Weekend. Two days featuring two plays from debuting potential directors, a participative workshop, and a panel and Q&A on the pleasures and pitfalls of Directing at RSS. Tickets for each event must be booked separately.
