This year join the Arun to Adur Farmers Group at Titch Hill Farm!Titch Hill Farm is a mixed farm, principally cropping wheat and barley and with a growing number of sheep and cows. They have a herd of pedigree Sussex Cattle, the ancestral breed for this area, and are expanding their flock of Sussex Southdown sheep, a diminutive breed well-suited for maintaining and ameliorating their vineyards. They have been introducing new regenerative farming rotations and techniques and have enhanced the habitat for ground-nesting farmland birds such as grey partridge, lapwing, and corn bunting. The farm's patchwork landscape, with permanent grass, arable and leys, and small woods and hedgerows, is great for wildlife.
Visitors to our Open Farm Sunday event can expect to meet and hear from local farmers and other countryside professionals. There will be farm machinery on display and a sheep shearing display. We will have tractor and trailer rides around the farm and surrounding forestry. We hope to see the amazing views, cattle, growing crops, forestry and vineyards.
We will have BBQ, Teas, Coffees and Cakes available to purchase.
