About
Join us at the beautiful Mill Field Forest Garden for an early morning experience on International Dawn Chorus Day. We will meet in the garden from 5am-7am to enjoy the dawn chorus. Explore the garden, orchard, glades and coppices and listen to the birds. We are next to Watermead Country Park, surrounded by nature and alongside the River Soar so have a variety of habitats and a wide range of birds. As the sun comes up, drink tea and make toast around the fire for breakfast. The garden has a shelter with seating in case of rain, and & a comfortable, clean compost toilet. Please let us know if you have any access needs. Suitable for adults and over 12sMill Field is a one-acre forest garden in Thurmaston, on privately owned land, managed by a volunteer-led Community Interest Company (CIC). We aim to maintain the garden, engage people for everyone's benefit. We are a not for profit organisation. This event is to raise awareness of the garden and funds towards its maintenance and development as a community resource.
