Squeezebox Special at Rothbury Festival 2025

A special acoustic concert featuring some of the most exciting squeezebox players from around the globe. Renowned Irish concertina player Michaél O'Raghallaigh will perform with his brother MacDara on fiddle. Belgian master accordionist Elke de Meester comes from a background of classical accordion and European folk music and will astound with her musicality, sensitivity and technique on her Pigini Nova 5-row button accordion, playing a selection of solo pieces that walk a line between folk and classical repertoire. There will also be shorter performances to start the proceedings from master of the English concertina Alistair Anderson, innovative diatonic accordionist Julian Sutton and Ian Stephenson.Date
