The Mayor's Dog Walk
About
Join us for a charity dog walk — because nothing says community spirit quite like being dragged through Stratford- upon Avon by an overexcited spaniel. We’ll meet at the riverside garden at the Crowne Plaza Stratford-upon-Avon at 10am, where a complimentary breakfast bap will be served. (Primarily for humans, although your dog will absolutely believe it’s for them.)
From there, we’ll enjoy a scenic walk through the nature reserve to Fisherman’s Car Park, then up to the Obelisk on the Welcombe Hills before heading back. The full route usually takes around 2–2.5 hours, depending on fitness levels, weather conditions.
For those preferring a shorter stroll, there’s the option to turn back at Fisherman’s Car Park — no judgement, this is a charity walk, not SAS selection.
If you’re continuing up to the Obelisk, feel free to bring a sandwich and drink to enjoy with the view while your dog stares at you like they personally haven’t eaten in weeks.
And finally — don’t forget poo bags. Nothing ruins a picturesque countryside walk faster than becoming That dog owner.
