Who are Hampshire & Surrey Hills Men's Choir?

The Hampshire and Surrey Hills Men’s Choir (formerly the Rushmoor “Odd Fellows”) draws members from across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire. Since 1960 we’ve sung in competitions, entertained with concerts, and raise about £10,000 a year for local charities. At the beginning of this month the choir won second place at the prestigious Cornwall International Male Choral Festival.

Why Sing?

Singing together is good for you. Research shows benefits for both physical and mental wellbeing - all while enjoying yourself!

What music do you sing?

Our repertoire ranges from male-voice classics to folk, show tunes, musical theatre and popular songs. It’s varied, enjoyable for audiences, and great fun for singers too.

Do I need musical experience?

No - we welcome both experienced and new singers! And there’s no audition. Our talented Musical Director helps explain the music during rehearsals and provides rehearsal tracks for home practice. Fellow singers are always happy to help. Many members had never sung in a choir before joining.

What should I expect when I visit?

A“buddy” will meet you, show you around, introduce you to the choir, and provide music. The Musical Director will also help find the best voice part for you.

Very limited on-site parking is available at North Camp Church, but the Napier Gardens car park is only a few minutes’ walk away.
