About
A Volunteers Week 2026 event for any VCFSE group, charity, CIC or volunteer including organisation to find out and sign up with the DWP's volunteer Work placement scheme.This offers VCFSE organisations access to supported volunteering where the DWP can cover costs such as transport for their customers who might want to volunteer for you. You get a minimum of 60 hours volunteering with the potential for it to continue after this time and still be supported by the DWP. It can also be at times to support your organisation.
Come along to talk to volunteers and organisations who have been through the process, to the DWP who can answer all your questions and get you signed up on the day. We are offering one to one sessions and also a networking area, to talk about all things volunteering. The nationally accredited volunteer centre BPRCVS will be here to answer any volunteer related questions you may have as well as a representative from the Lancashire LOCAL team from LACVS.
This is a scheme being supported by LACVS and LCC and the nationally accredited VCQA volunteer centre (BPRCVS).
There will be refreshments (hot drinks, cake and biscuits) on the day
This is open to any VCFSE volunteer including organisation in Burnley Pendle and Rossendale.
