To mark Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Week, Marie Curie is hosting a special event for professionals who support people living with MND, whether in their homes or in hospital settings.This event offers a valuable opportunity to come together, share knowledge, and a deeper understanding of MND.
Four sessions will be delivered throughout the day by professionals who work directly with people affected by MND. You’re welcome to attend the full programme or simply join the sessions that interest you most.

An Introduction to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)
An overview of the organisation and the support they provide.
11:30 – 12:30
Communicating with MND
A session led by a speech and language therapist exploring communication challenges and strategies.
12:30 – 13:30
Lunch
13:30 – 14:45
Understanding Grief in MND
A reflective session on the emotional impact of MND for patients, families, and professionals.
15:30 – 16:30
MND and Palliative Care
Facilitated by palliative care consultant Siwan Seaman.
