Open Farm Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to connect farmers and the public to discover the world of farming and all that farmers do producing food, nurturing nature, and protecting the environment for future generations.We wholeheartedly welcome you to book to join us for the morning or afternoon to hang out with our Handley Farm goats, stroke, brush, walk, feed them and watch them being milked, walk round and speak with our community garden volunteers, hear from our beekeepers and see their demo hive, watch the wonderful derbyshire weavers weaving from our own sheeps wool, go on a vintage tractor trailor ride around Shottle with our neighbouring farmer Bill who will tell tales of local farming, join us for games, demo kidding, a bite to eat, drink and general farm fun! We may not have our baby kids arrived by Open Farm sunday, but if not, you can see how wide our wonderful pregnant goats will be by then and enter the competiton of guess how many goat kids each will give birth to!!
