About
Our Public Ride days sessions are bookable below. Our locos will run continuously throughout the session allowing you to ride as much as you wish with your rover ticket.Rainsbrook Valley Railway’s School's Out Steam Day is the perfect way for families to celebrate the first weekend of the holidays. There will be friendly volunteers, cheerful miniature trains, and that unmistakable buzz of the holidays. Visitors of all ages get the thrill of real rides behind real locomotives, plus grown‑ups get a relaxed, good‑value day out in the fresh air. It’s simple, joyful, screen‑free fun — the kind of outing that starts the summer holidays on exactly the right note.
Ages 2 and under ride for free, but will need a paying adult with them, whilst babes-in-arms not yet able to sit upright must be carried in a suitable and secure papoose.
We have a carriage capable of transporting a wheelchair and passenger. This service is temporary suspended for design improvements and staff training.
There are no steps on-site, allowing access for all, and if it rains - the trains love it even more! So bring suitable clothes and you'll have fun come rain or shine!
