Sean McGhee, Rock N’ Reel Autumn 1996.
Set 2: Contact Rock!
Bringing us right up to date, Raving Rock present some of their most recent work with songs from their epic show Contact Rock! These high-energy songs are a celebration of all that is wild and joyous, edgy and compulsive in rock-climbing and mountaineering.
The songs are based on Mike’s own climbing experiences plus the stories and lyrics of climber friends.
The songs explore the histories, myths and legends that define our crags and our mountains.
The songs work in sequence, a racy adventure into the psyche and the soul of the rock-climber and mountaineer.
The songs are interwoven with short spoken-word and storytelling pieces.
“A great collection of varied and interesting music, all stemming from the mountains: Fully recommended for an entertaining experience!
