Klio Blonz began her studies in Greece. She continued with Catherine Cantin and Pierre Dumail at the Paul Dukas Conservatoire in Paris where she gained a Premier Prix at the U.C.E.M 92 flute competition. Since the beginning of her career Klio has performed extensively both as a soloist and ensemble player in the UK and abroad. She has been broadcast by BBC Radio 3 and has appeared in Festivals at home and abroad, and has performed in venues such as St John’s Smith Square, Royal Festival Hall, St James’s Picadilly and St Martin-in-the-Fields.
Gabriella Dall’Olio was born and grew up in her home town Bologna, Italy, whom she dearly loves. She trained in Italy, France and Germany with Anna Loro, Pierre Jamet. Jacqueline Borot, Fabrice Pierre and Giselle Herbert. All are still her dear friends now, or live on in the legacy they left and grateful memory. Gabriella delights audiences with her solo recitals around the globe. Her critically acclaimed recordings span solo, chamber and orchestral works. Her album ‘Harp Recital’ won a Five Diapasons Award and was described as “five quarter hours of poetry”.
Doors open 45 minutes before performance. There are large double doors at the side of the building with no steps that allow easy access for wheelchairs directly into the hall. Please let us know if you need to reserve space for wheelchairs. There is no reserved seating (except for those in wheelchairs). It is first come, first served, but the hall is not large (about twelve rows of twelve seats) and the acoustics are excellent throughout.
Tickets for those in full-time education are £10 direct from secretary@peakmusicsociety.org.uk
VERY IMPORTANT - please note! There is a Cavendish Village Hall in the village of Beeley (postcode DE45 2NU), 2.5 miles away at the other end of the Chatsworth Park from Edensor. This shows up when you Google "Cavendish Hall Edensor", and we have been told that one or two car SatNav systems have been wrongly locating our postcode DE45 1PJ there as well, so please check you are headed for Edensor and not Beeley before you drive off! If you Google "Peak Music Society" it will show the correct position on the map.
