Best of England in a Glass!
About
*** NEW DATE - THURSDAY 30 JULY ***This is going to be a very special tasting indeed to celebrate English Wine! 🥂🏴
Most now appreciate the superb quality of our English Sparkling Wines, but I think the jury probably remains out on still wines? Unless you know, that is! Come along and discover some of the very best wines being made in our country right now, putting England firmly on the global fine wine map.
These are wines from wineries I know very well, and have been a huge fan of for a few years now. Small producers who are doing fantastic things, and who are gaining international recognition. Gold medal-winners and world-beaters, who really deserve those accolades! I'm really excited to share them with you!
2 Fizzes (1 white, 1 rosé) - 3 Whites - 1 Red. That line up snapshot doesn't start to do justice to what’s in store, but this is going to be a tasting of wines to surprise and delight you...all from England! That would've been inconceivable not so long ago.
Note: Due to our marginal climate and incredibly unpredictable weather, making good wine in England is an expensive business and reflected in the bottle price. I believe English Wine’s success story is at a pivotal point, and I want to share this story with you - so in order to be able to host this tasting there is a slight price increase and seats will be limited to 14.
WSET-qualified and fully immersed in the wonderful world of wine, my style is very friendly and approachable. As a stand-alone tasting, no previous attendance or wine knowledge is needed. All questions are welcomed! They're always fun, sociable and interactive evenings, so come along on your own or bring a friend. Do book your seats early to avoid disappointment.
