Performing Arts Summer Camp at AKS Lytham

Join us this summer for an inspiring and energetic week of creativity at the Performing Arts Summer Camp. Designed for young people with a passion for performance, or those simply looking to try something new, this engaging programme offers the perfect balance of fun, skill-building, and collaboration.

What to Expect

Across the week, participants will take part in a wide range of activities designed to develop key performing arts skills in a lively and supportive environment. Each day includes:

· Interactive group workshops

· Performing arts games and team challenges

· Fun quizzes and creative tasks

· Singing sessions, including learning and rehearsing songs

· Movement, dance, and choreography

Students will explore elements of acting, singing, and performance, while also gaining a broader understanding of how productions come together. With guidance from experienced staff, children will be encouraged to grow in confidence, express themselves creatively, and work as part of a team.

A Showcase to Remember

The week builds towards a final showcase performance, where students will have the opportunity to present what they’ve been working on. This will include a mixture of solo pieces and group performances, giving every participant a chance to shine and celebrate their progress.

Tailored for Every Age

To ensure the best possible experience, activities are carefully adapted for two age groups:

· Ages 4 - 7 – playful, imaginative sessions with a strong focus on confidence and creativity

· Ages 8 - 11 – more in-depth skill development, teamwork, and performance technique

Building Skills for the Stage (and beyond)

Our camp provides a welcoming space where young performers can:

· Develop confidence and communication skills

· Try new styles and techniques

· Discover their individual strengths

· Make new friends in an encouraging, inclusive setting

Whether your child is already a keen performer or just starting out, this week is designed to nurture enthusiasm, build ability, and, most importantly, ensure everyone has a fantastic time.

Lunch

Please bring a snack for the morning break, a packed lunch and a water bottle each day. AKS Lytham is a nut-free school, so please do not send in any snacks or food containing nuts.

Fees

· £30 per day

· £135 for the full week (discounted rate)
