Free Prep for Sixth Form
About
Moving from GCSEs to Sixth Form is an exciting step, bringing new opportunities and greater independence.This interactive preparation day is designed to help students aged 14–17 develop the skills, confidence and mindset needed to succeed in Sixth Form and beyond.
Throughout the day, students will take part in interactive workshops, TED-style talks, collaborative challenges and discussions about future pathways, covering:
Independent learning and organisation
Effective note-taking and study strategies
Metacognition – learning how to learn
Communication and teamwork
Critical thinking and problem-solving
University, apprenticeships and future careers
The day concludes with a Post-18 Futures session led by a former student, sharing first-hand insights into university life, alternative pathways and employability.

Please bring: a notebook, pen, packed lunch and a willingness to get involved.
Places are free but limited, so advance booking is essential.
