Star soprano Ruby Hughes performs a programme of songs combining old and new with mellifluous settings by Brian Elias and Deborah Pritchard, performed alongside classical and early romantic repertoire, ideally suited to the 1830 Stodart piano in the Drawing Room at Ightham Mote. The concert includes a talk by Amanda-Jane Doran - Curator of Ightham Mote - about the Mendelssohn family and the connection to Wilhelm Müller whose family lived at Ightham in the 19th century.
