Create a fun and super-cute skirt-style lampshade designed to sit neatly over a candle clip carrier—perfect for adding charm to a bedside lamp or a cosy corner.

In this relaxed morning workshop, Sarah will guide you exploring print, pattern, and colour through a short demonstration using her extensive collection of hand-carved Indian woodblocks and fabric paints. You’ll begin by planning your design on a paper template before bringing it to life by printing a pre-sewn fabric panel. There will be ample opportunity to try printing with various different woodblocks.

To finish, you’ll select a contrasting grosgrain ribbon and transform your fabric into a beautifully gathered lampshade skirt, ready to slip over your cone-shaped carrier. You’ll take home your completed piece, along with the candle clip lampshade (included in the workshop price).

Homemade tea and cake will be served during the morning to give us an opportunity to pause, relax, chat and admire each others creative work.
