Join experienced woodcarver Graeme Brown for a 90 minute workshop in learning how to make your own set of wooden buttons using simple handtools.Carving wooden buttons is a great way to learn woodcarving techniques and gain confidence using sharp tools. They make unique personal gifts or can be used on your own sewing or knitting projects, avoiding the use of mass produced plastic buttons.
This workshop shows you how to use a woodcarving knife and other tools to create a unique set of buttons to your own specification.
All tools and instruction are provided for the project and we will also be able to discuss finishing, decorative techniques and using your new found skills in other projects.
