Ampleforth College Summer Hockey Camp (SOLD OUT)
About
Develop your skills, make new friends, and enjoy an action-packed summer of hockey!This summer join Jo Lightfoot, Ampleforth College Hockey Coach, for fun, energetic coaching sessions designed to inspire players of all abilities.
Whether you're picking up a hockey stick for the first time or looking to sharpen your game, our experienced coaches will help you build confidence, improve technique, develop match play skills, and most importantly, have fun in a supportive environment.
Open to children in Years 4–8. All abilities welcome.
Please ensure each participant brings:
- A packed lunch
- A refillable water bottle
- Healthy snacks
- Gumshield
- Shin pads
- Hockey stick (if you have one – a limited number will be available to borrow)
Please note: All food brought onto site must be nut free.
As the weather can be unpredictable, please also pack:
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for warm weather
- Warm clothing and waterproofs if needed
Arrival & Collection:
Drop-off and collection will take place at the Hockey Astros.
To access the astros, take the road towards Ampleforth Village above the school, then turn towards the Abbey and follow the road as it winds down the valley. Continue past the cricket pavilion, keeping the cricket pitches and nets on your left. Follow the road towards the south border, continuing straight ahead and avoiding the right turn at either fork. The Hockey Astros will be directly ahead.
