Join us for an evening of physical comedy and laughter as the Penrith Players Youth Group perform their production of Peter Shaffer’s Black Comedy.The story follows desperate and poor sculptor Brindsley who, in the hope of selling his latest work to a millionaire art dealer, has embellished his apartment with furniture and objects d’arts ‘borrowed’ from their antique collector neighbour Harold, who is away for the weekend.
All goes well, until a power cut plunges everyone into darkness, Harold comes home early, the spinster from upstairs comes down for company in the darkness and - the final injury - Brindsley’s potential father-in-law arrives!
This is a really funny play and you will leave having been entertained!
