Working with Volunteers to Establish and Develop a community
About
To get a community food project or community growing site off the ground requires many hands to make light work. This session will give you some tools for:- Putting community engagement at the heart of your project.
- Creating an inclusive community work culture.
- On-going communications and decision making structures to set your project up for success.
Join Anna Clayton and Kathy Barton from Claver Hill community food project for a session focused on cultivating community groups. They will share learnings from years of working with community food and sustainability initiatives that involve high community involvement and engagement. As part of this they will share engagement, recruitment and retainment techniques, whilst offering plenty of space for others to share their experiences.
This event is part of the wider Growing Food and Community training programme: foodfutures.org.uk/growing-food-community/
