About
Tree grafting is an ancient practice that propagates new trees with a known fruit or nut variety. As it produces a replica tree, it can be used to replace an old ‘worn out’ apple or pear tree, or can simply be used to replicate a tasty or favourite fruit variety.Join Moyna and Anna from Claver Hill to learn the theory and have a go!
This session will offer an introduction to:
- Basics of fruit tree grafting, including rootstock qualities, scion wood, where to source them and the tools to use.
- Different grafting techniques.
There will be plenty of time to practice too!
