In the Path of Saints: St Margaret (SOLD OUT)
About
This 21.5km/13.5mile walk takes in some of the local history of St Margaret. Beginning in South Queensferry, near to where pilgrim boats sailed for Fife, we will walk over the Forth Road Bridge, take in North Queensferry and the remains of the Chapel of St James, break for lunch at the Parish Church of Inverkeithing before walking on to Dunfermline, where we can visit St Margaret's Cave, St Margaret's Shrine (at Dunfermline Abbey) and see St Margaret's relic.This walk may be joined at one of the following points:
- Priory Church in South Queensferry (10.00 for 10.30 departure) - distance 20km
- Inverkeithing Parish Church (13.00 for 13.30 departure) - distance 16km
- Douglas Bank Cemetery (15.10 for 15.20 departure) - distance 6km
- Outside Carnegie Museum (16.30 for 16.35 departure) - distance 1.85km
The finishing time will be 18.00 at St Margaret's Church in Dunfermline.
