When Husk dies under mysterious circumstances, Sarah finds herself accused of his murder. As the trial unfolds, two lifetimes collide, exposing the truth behind those branded as witches and the people who condemned them.
AWAKEN shines a light on working-class women and the almost erased world of cunning folk healers. Partially written in canting - the lost language that predates Cockney, it reclaims the wisdom, healing and magic of the women whom history branded as witches.
