Because Sauna has always been about more than the heat...and Sauna makes you hungry!!

Across many Scandanavian and Baltic cultures, the sauna has long been a place where people gather to pause, connect, share stories and strengthen community. After the final round in the sauna, everyone would often come together over good, simple food.

I love that tradition, so I thought… why not bring it to the Howgill Fells!

Join us for an evening that blends the restorative power of sauna ritual with the simple joy of sharing a meal. We'll begin with a guided ritual in our wood-fired sauna, moving through rounds of gentle heat, cooling and rest, with carefully chosen aromas, leaf whisking and moments of quiet reflection. There'll be plenty of opportunities to cool off between rounds with a cold shower or the plunge, and time to relax, chat and soak up the beautiful surroundings.

After our final sauna, we'll gather together for a delicious supper, giving ourselves time to refuel, unwind and enjoy easy conversation. No phones. No rushing off. Just good food, warm hearts and wonderful company.

Whether you come with friends or arrive on your own, you'll be warmly welcomed. By the end of the evening, you'll likely leave with rosy cheeks, a full belly and perhaps a few new friends too.
