Crochet Workshop: Bikini Top
About
Join crafter and content creator @daisybow_craft and get inspired by the bold colours and iconic knitwear of the SIBLING exhibition in this fun, beginner-friendly crochet workshop at Kingston Museum. In this relaxed session, you'll learn the foundations of crochet while making the first half of your very own crochet bikini top. Whether you're completely new to crochet or looking to develop your skills, you'll be guided through each step in a friendly environment. Choose from a vibrant selection of yarns inspired by the exhibition's colourful aesthetic and begin creating a unique piece that's perfect for the beach, festivals, holidays or layering as part of a bold night-out outfit. If a bikini top isn't your style, the same techniques can also be used to create decorative bunting or inspire other colourful crochet projects.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have completed one half of your bikini top, along with the remaining materials and a pattern to help you finish it at home. You'll also leave with new crochet skills, creative confidence, and have had the opportunity to meet fellow makers.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, anyone wanting to refresh their crochet skills or anyone looking to craft in the community.
