This Contemporary and Lyrical class takes place every Wednesday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and is for pupils over the age of 11.
Contemporary: This free work class lays the foundations of Graham and Cunningham technique. Pupils explore floor work, travelling sequences, allegro and progressive movement phrases, building confidence, strength and technique through weekly development. During the Spring Term, pupils also work on choreography for our annual dance show.
Lyrical: Blending elements of Modern and Ballet, this class uses music lyrics as the inspiration for storytelling through movement. Pupils develop their movement skills through centre work, corner work and free work, alongside choreography that is built upon each week to develop confidence, technique and expression. During the Spring Term, pupils also work on choreography for our annual dance show.
