Lockdown Learning: Week 1
Our lockdown learning programme enables your child to have lessons and work in both Maths and English, all of which are delivered by an experienced teacher with the lessons mapped to the UK curriculum.
For only £10 per week your child will have access to daily Maths and English lessons, which are accessible from any device.
Week 1 lessons include:
English: Building Words
- Covering areas such as Prefixes, Suffixes, Compound words, Plurals and more!
Maths: Numbers (Place Value)
- Covering Order and Compare, Roman Numerals, Rounding Numbers, Negative Numbers and more!
There will be 3 levels split into year groups:
Bronze suitable for children in Years 3-4,
Silver for School Years 5-6
Gold for School Years 7-8.
Children are welcome to watch and complete all levels of work if they wish.
All work will be online and is self marking, making it very simple.

What would a typical day look like?
Your child will be kept busy for about an hour per day: 30 minutes Maths lessons and 30 minutes English lessons – we have a timetable below if you would like to follow it. However, if you would like your child to have more work please consider joining them to RocketLearn, those on our full programme have work set as agreed with their academic coach.
Who is the teacher?
David Winfield
David is a former Deputy Head of Juniors at Fulneck boarding school, he is also the founder of the Independent Schools Portal and editor of InnovatED magazine.
David has been a prolific writer and blogger as well as being an engaging speaker on all things education. His speciality is providing practical guidance on making the curriculum, lessons and learning more engaging, creative, relevant and effective, to give teachers the confidence to step outside of their comfort zones and take calculated risks. This is especially important when using technology, it is in this capacity that David is in frequent demand as an education consultant.
David also has a deep and intimate knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum for England and his consultancy was instrumental in developing and constructing the assessment frameworks used by the Assessment Foundation for Science, Design & Technology, Computing, History, Geography, Art, Music, Physical Education and Languages. This work is used daily in over 2,000 primary and preparatory schools and forms a large element of the Progression Beyond Levels Assessment Framework for Primary Schools.
