Camille Pissarro: 'The Immigrants and their Art' Series
The inaugural online event of the Ben Uri Research Unit's new series titled and exploring 'The Immigrants and their Art'.
It is appropriate to launch this series with the father of impressionism Camille Pissarro. Pissarro was born in the Caribbean island of St.Thomas in 1830 and throughout his life migrated often and both lived and worked in St.Thomas, Caracas, London and Paris.
We are excited to hear from David Stern and Lelia Pissarro who will guide us through this Immigrant and his Art

The event will be streamed through youtube and you will receive your link to the event between 4 and 5pm on Tuesday 30th November.
Please be aware that we have no current plans to put this unique tour and discussion on public view for the time being.
We seek donations of £10 per household or the equivalent in euros or dollars to cover the cost of this outside broadcast and hopefully make a small contribution to the Research Unit's pioneering work in recording the Jewish and immingrant contribution to British visual culture since 1900.
