JAGS Parent Talk: Natasha Devon
Social Media, Body Image and Self Esteem
There’s never been more pressure on young people of all genders to conform to prescribed aesthetics. Studies have shown this can in turn affect their self-esteem, educational outcomes and contribute to spiralling anxiety. In this talk, Natasha will give practical tips for parents on how to discuss this with their children as well as how to encourage them to use social media in a way that will support their wellbeing. The talk also explores the relationship between health and weight and some of the myths surrounding this
