Brecon Beacons and Waterfalls Weekend
About
A stunning weekend trekking in South Wales
DG Outdoor Adventures invite you to join us on a fantastic weekend to explore 2 of the most beautiful areas in South Wales.
On Saturday 30th we meet up at Gwaun Hepste car park for 13.00pm ready to start the walk at 13.15pm - Location is before you reach Cwm porth car park when turning off the main A4059 road… once you turn off go along the road and the car park is set back from the road on your left… the nearest postcode is CF44 9JB (but this is not exact for the car park) I have attached 2 maps showing the car park. It is National Trust Parking and cost at last look was £5.
We will venture round the stunning Waterfall Country through woodland and intricate river ways to find the most beautiful waterfalls.
The walk should not last more than 3.5 hours and upon leaving we venture to our accommodations for the night.
On Sunday it is an early start as we need to be at the Brecon Beacons Car Park early to get parked up and begin the hike. I would probably say we need to be parked up for 8:30am to be ready to go for 9:00am at the latest. Toilets and burger van is onsite but please make sure you have had a good filling breakfast and have plenty of food and water for the hike.
Postcode for Pont ar Daf Car Park is CF48 2HY. It is National Trust so please make sure you have change to pay at the meter.
We venture up towards the first of our Peaks Corn Du from the Storrey Arms, dip down once we summit and then ascend Pen-Y-Fan the Highest point of South Wales.
After summiting and admiring the views we then decide on the time to hike over to Cribyn Peak and maybe Fan-Y-Big before taking the path back down to the car park for a well-earned cupper and a burger!
Most will probably want to return home afterwards so we will then bid each other farewell with some lovely memories.
Hopefully the trek will be completed within 7 hours absolute max.
Pricing
The cost is £45 for the whole weekend but if you cannot make the Saturday then please get in contact.
