About
Join award-winning poet, James Oates, in this Creative Writing Workshop for the wall.three.words project.Wall.three.words is a community arts project happening this Autumn at Brampton Community Centre as part of the HW1900 yearlong festival. The project celebrates 1900 years of Hadrian’s Wall - its history, its place in our landscape, our community and its status as a World Heritage UNESCO site - through poetry and art. The project utilises the What3words app* as a basis for creative inspiration around the Lanercost to Birdoswald section of the Wall and culminates in November with an exhibition of artwork, poetry and film developed by the community.
In this introductory workshop, James will explain how to use the What3words app and how to apply it to writing a short-form poem about Hadrian’s Wall. This is the first of two workshops and will lead to an exhibition featuring your poetry on page and/or film.
