About
Marina O Connell of the Apricot Centre and Professor Jules Pretty will present the perfect storm of challenges facing food growing. We need farms that can mitigate and adapt to climate change, offset biodiversity loss, and produce lots of local healthy food, whilst still being viable businesses.REGENERATIVE FARMING METHODS can do this.
Marina will then give an overview of the regenerative farming systems that can meet these challenges, and how they can be woven together to effectively meet these challenges.
In the afternoon, we will explore some of these systems in an interactive way: biodynamic farming, permaculture design, agroforestry and how to make the transition .
The day will be interactive, and discursive, fun, and is open to farmers, growers, allotment holders, gardeners and anyone who would like to learn more about how our food impacts climate change and biodiversity.
