LEAF Education is working in partnership with BASF to reinvigorate the popular Why Farming Matters teaching resource. For the last 10 years Why Farming Matters has been the go-to resource to support teachers with curriculum-based activities in the classroom.LEAF Education has developed the training events to support farmers explore this new resource. You will discover new engaging activities that are designed to inspire young people. So if you are considering opening up your farm for school visits or LEAF Open Farm Sunday, this will be the training for you.
The day will include
• A first look at the exciting Why Farming Matters resources,
• An introduction to how LEAF Education can support you to host farm visits
• “Have a go” practical sessions showcasing educational activities for use on the farm
• Tour of Great Wollaston Farm and a talk from LEAF Demonstration Farmer Rob Kynaston on his vast experience of working with schools
• Opportunities to network
