EVENING COURSE: Pottery with Francis Lloyd-Jones
About
Come and join our Wednesday evening pottery classes in The Farmer’s Arms workshops. All abilities are welcome from absolute beginners to those familiar with working in clay.Taught by The Farmer's Arms Potter-in-Residence, Francis Lloyd-Jones, over six-weeks students will gain a comprehensive introduction to ceramics covering all the basics from clay to kiln.
Session 1: 19th April, 6pm - 8pm
An introduction to working with clay.
Session 2: 26th April, 6pm - 8pm
Coiling and hand building and an introduction to throwing on the potters wheel.
Session 3: 3rd May, 6pm - 8pm
Development of work from previous weeks. Turning and finishing.
Session 4: 17th May, 6pm - 8pm
Further making based on development of skills so far.
Session 5: 24th May, 6pm - 8pm
Turning, finishing and decorating your work.
Session 6: 31st May, 6pm - 8pm
Final finishing and glazing.
