606 Club Presents Jazz on the Lawn: Tony Kofi ft Vimala Rowe
Not just a 606 Club favourite, award-winning, MOBO nominated saxophonist Tony Kofi has become one of the UK’s most highly lauded jazz musicians as well. From his early beginnings in the 1990’s as a member of The Jazz Warriors to headlining shows at festivals in the UK and abroad, his thrilling performances of music by jazz legends Ellington, Cannonball and Monk have seen his prestige & popularity rise…and in 2021, he was even profiled on the BBC. Tony will be joined by his frequent collaborator, the sophisticated and soulful vocalist Vimala Rowe. Also a member of Café Society Swing and Charlie Parker On Dial, Vimala’s appearances with Tony & other British icons (including guitarist John Etheridge) have made her the perfect choice for this Jazz on the Lawn event.
