Spring has never quite properly sprung until the Goring and Streatley Starter Band has brought you its annual one-hour, one-act wonder of musical springiness to blow away those winter blues...The GSSB is the younger sibling of the GSCB. It is a band of around 45 woodwind and brass players of all ages and all abilities - we cater for the dusty, the rusty, the novice, the young and the experienced alike - and the results never disappoint!
The Programme will be a mix of music and styles that no-one else would ever dream of putting in the same concert. Classic Big Band, meets Classic Rock, meets Shostakovich, meets Classic Film, meets Classic Irish folk, meets Classic Disco. All performed with an unrivalled enthusiasm laced with occasional terror.
This will be an afternoon of musical fun for all the family and FREE refreshments will be provided by the wonderful Goring Primary School PTA.
