Triumph TR @ 70 international celebration
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO:
The much-loved evening entertainment in our beer tent will return with live music both during the day and into the small hours.
Friday will give visitors the opportunity to set up their tents if camping and to catch up with old friends over a drink in our entertainment tent. There will be plenty of catering, food options, beer and toilets on site – very important! The event will have different attractions running on Saturday and Sunday.
On – site, the first day of the event on Saturday will be a festival of grass roots motorsport! We have a huge treat for you with a never-seen-before feature.
The MCC (The Motor Cycle Club) will be running a sporting trial on the showground’s off-road course. You may have read about the exciting exploits of our trialling community within the pages of TR Action over the years, on events like the Exeter and Lands’ End Trials. Well, now is your chance to see the Trials TRs in action at the TR Register’s weekend event. Not only that, but a whole host of other models of vintage, classic and trials special cars will be taking part – plus motorcycles as well of course. After the competitive element to the day has concluded, spectators will be offered passenger rides to experience the sport of endurance trialling first-hand!
Meanwhile, the extensive trade show and Autojumble will be open for business across both days as will the Bring and Buy sale. There will be crafts and food for sale as well.
Technical seminars and demonstrations promise to engage the audience whilst a Carkhana takes place in the arena to add to the motorsport appeal.
Saturday will see an optional visit to the nearby Haynes Motor Museum who have laid on guided tours for us with an option to stay and take part in Go-Karting! For those who like their TRs polished, then you can watch the judging and deliberations of the Concours team during Saturday followed by the presentation of the awards on Sunday morning. Saturday evening offers the chance to party the night away with the live music and beer tent, whilst you reminisce about TR adventures passed with friends old and new.
On Sunday, our traditional format returns with the live arena hosted by Wayne Scott telling the story of the many special TRs we are looking forward to having on – site.
Plus, some very special guests to be interviewed throughout the day to mark seven decades of TRs. The TR Register has negotiated the ability for attendees to visit the adjacent flea market (at additional cost) that is also taking place on the Sunday. There will be lots more features announced over the coming weeks!
