[Online] Adult Mental Health First Aid - Two Day Course
About
This training is free to anyone who works in a care home within the Preston City Council boundary
This accredited two-day course can help you to support the overall health and happiness of the people you support, live or work with.
You will receive:
- A manual to refer to whenever you need it
- A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health
- A wallet sized fold out card detailing the Adult Mental First Aid Action Plan
- A certificate of attendance to show you are a Adult Mental Health First Aider
All learners must attend the full course, which runs between 9am-5pm on both days. Once we receive your booking, you will be sent a hyperlink to register on the MHFA England website. You must complete this to receive your manuals and upon completion of the course, receive your certificate.
Course Overview
The course is set into four manageable chunks delivered by one of our engaging and knowledgeable trainers, using a mix of activities, presentations and discussions.

- Recovery and lived experience
- Boundaries of the MHFAider® role
- Moving forward in the MHFAider® rol
Everyone who completes this course gets:
- A manual to refer to whenever you need it
- A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health
- A wallet sized fold out card detailing the Mental First Aid Action Plan
- A certificate of attendance to show you are a Mental Health First Aider
- Three-year access to the 24/7 MHFAider Support App®
As an MHFAider® you’ll also have access to ongoing learning to support you in the role and ensure you have the most up-to-date information on mental health. Over the three years, you will benefit from:
- A library of resources that will support you to have impactful conversations
- MHFAider®online events, exploring different topics and themes around mental health and the MHFAider® role
