Award-winning cheese and Cumbrian gelato? It can only happen at LA23NET.Join us at Torpenhow Farmhouse Dairy to discover how award-winning cheese is made, taste test the sweetest gelato and meet the animals (and people) that make it happen.
Torpenhow Cheese Company was launched by farm owners Jenny and Mark Lee with the organic milk from their Jersey/Friesian herd. Their Park House Cheddar is a silver medal winner in the World Cheese Awards, and served at the Michelin-starred L’Enclume.
Celebrate the launch of the team’s newest venture; Three Hills Gelato. Chief gelato maker, Matthew Stockwell, trained in Italy, and brings those traditional Italian techniques home to Cumbria.
Then enjoy (more) good food, drink and some special guests in Three Hills Barn. Because OF COURSE there’s a stunning barn conversion on the farm too. We’ll hear from some special guests to find out more about the challenges farmers in Cumbria are facing right now.
