Talking Heads (SOLD OUT)
About
Talking Heads by Alan Bennett is widely regarded as a modern classic. Originally filmed for BBC in 1988, the monologues are poignant, darkly comic and ultimately uplifting. We are presenting :
Lesley in Her Big Chance.
Lesley has already been on screen. You might have seen her in Tess or even in Crossroads but she’s waiting for her big break.
Graham in A Chip in the Sugar.
Graham lives with Mother and doesn’t want anyone to come between them so he’s not best pleased when Mother's old flame turns up.
Miss Ruddock in A Lady of Letters.
Miss Ruddock is a pillar of the community and sees it as her duty to take out her trusty Platignum pen and write to the appropriate authorities when she sees something that is not right.
Bennett’s sharp wit and observation of humanity are as pertinent today as they were when the monologues were first written.
