Youth Mental Health First Aid - Two Day Course
About
Spotting the signs of poor mental health earlier in a person’s life is very important, as 50% of mental health conditions are established by the age of 14. Statistics show us that many children and young people are not getting the help and support they need, in a society with increasing academic and social pressures.
Key people in a young person’s life such as parents, family members, teachers, tutors, carers, youth workers are often able to spot when a young person is struggling, but don’t know how to help.
Whether you are looking for a Mental Health First Aid course for teachers, work in a social or healthcare setting, or want to know how to support someone through a mental health crisis, you can be there for children and young people with our Youth Mental Health First Aid course.
Our accredited two-day course will teach you the skills and confidence to help children and young people get the support they need. Upon successful completion of the course you ,will be accredited for a three-year period and receive support from MHFA England in the form of a support app and monthly newsletter.
This course will run at 9.30am-5pm on both days, and learners are required to attend the full course for successful completion.
